Urban Economics Consulting and Expertise

ibicity is an urban economics consulting and expertise agency. Addressing urban development issues with a primary economic and financial focus, it advocates for an integrated approach to the various project dimensions: spatial, legal, social, architectural, and environmental.

Its interventions focus on three main areas: public-private co-creation of urban spaces, urban economic models, and urban transitions (ecological and digital).

For each of these themes, ibicity combines two types of approaches. Firstly, a distinctly operational approach: ibicity works with public and private stakeholders for the implementation of complex urban projects and the formulation of new strategic positions. Secondly, an exploration and training activity, which, in a context where urban development is undergoing profound changes, allows for the detection of emerging practices and the anticipation of new challenges.

ibicity’s ability to combine these two dimensions—an operational approach and a more analytical and prospective approach—provides it with perspective and a ‘panoramic’ vision, conducive to the search for new solutions.

ibicity works with all public and private stakeholders who participate in or are interested in urban development: local authorities, urban developers, real estate or urban service operators, urban planning agencies, and financial or research institutions.

Sidewalks! An economic, historical, and leisurely approach

“A very stimulating probe into the concrete reality of our ways of living” and “a rigor that does not forbid digression or amusement” (Le Monde des Livres)

“Here is a work that impresses as much by the richness of its documentation as by the observational lens it offers: the sidewalk as a mirror and revealer of a society’s transformations. It should, of course, interest urban planning and development professionals, but also, more broadly, foresight professionals” (Futuribles)
